The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.18.3

प्रवृत्तिभाजो ये जीवास्ते तन्मात्रप्रदर्शिनः ।
तन्मात्रैकतया सर्गान्मिथः पश्यन्ति कल्पितान् ॥ ३ ॥

pravṛttibhājo ye jīvāste tanmātrapradarśinaḥ |
tanmātraikatayā sargānmithaḥ paśyanti kalpitān || 3 ||

But living souls addicted to their wishes, view their identity with the same; and find themselves born in their desired shapes here below.
