The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीराम उवाच ।
भगवन्भृगुपुत्रस्य प्रतिभासानुभूतितः ।
यथैषा सफला जाता तथान्यस्य न किं भवेत् ॥ १ ॥

bhagavanbhṛguputrasya pratibhāsānubhūtitaḥ |
yathaiṣā saphalā jātā tathānyasya na kiṃ bhavet || 1 ||

Rama said:—Tell me sir, why the ideal reflection of others, is not attended with equal result, with that of the son of Bhrigu.
