The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सर्वेषामेव देहानां सुखदुःखार्थभाजनम् ।
शरीरं मन एवेह नतु मांसमयं मुने ॥ ८ ॥

sarveṣāmeva dehānāṃ sukhaduḥkhārthabhājanam |
śarīraṃ mana eveha natu māṃsamayaṃ mune || 8 ||

All living bodies are subject to pain and pleasure; but it is the mind which constitutes the body, and not the flesh.
