The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तज्जास्तत्स्थाः पृथग्रूपाः समुद्रादिव वीचयः ।
तज्जास्तत्स्थाः पृथक्स्थाश्च चन्द्रादिव मरीचयः ॥ ६६ ॥

tajjāstatsthāḥ pṛthagrūpāḥ samudrādiva vīcayaḥ |
tajjāstatsthāḥ pṛthaksthāśca candrādiva marīcayaḥ || 66 ||

All human affections and attachments to the visible world, are born in and remain in the mind; although they are as distinct from it, as the waves of the sea or as the beams of the moon; are produced from and contained in their receptacles.
