The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.11.57

स्वेच्छयात्मात्मनो ब्रह्मन्भावयित्वैष विस्मृतिम् ।
करोति कठिनं बन्धं कोशकारकृमिर्यथा ॥ ५७ ॥

svecchayātmātmano brahmanbhāvayitvaiṣa vismṛtim |
karoti kaṭhinaṃ bandhaṃ kośakārakṛmiryathā || 57 ||

The mind forgets its spiritual nature of its own will; and makes for itself a strong prison house (of its earthly possessions), as the silkworm weaves its own coating.
