The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विचित्रवर्णता यद्वद्दृश्यते कठिनातपे ।
विचित्रशक्तिता तद्वद्देवेशे सदसन्मयी ॥ ५३ ॥

vicitravarṇatā yadvaddṛśyate kaṭhinātape |
vicitraśaktitā tadvaddeveśe sadasanmayī || 53 ||

As the strong sun light, displays itself in variegated colours in different bodies; so does Omnipotence, display itself in various vivid colours, all of which are unreal shades.
