The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.11.37

खण्डशः परियातोऽस्मीत्यात्तक्रन्द इवारवी ।
न चोर्मयस्ते जलधेर्व्यतिरिक्ताः पयोधरात् ॥ ३७ ॥

khaṇḍaśaḥ pariyāto'smītyāttakranda ivāravī |
na cormayaste jaladhervyatiriktāḥ payodharāt || 37 ||

Those who wail aloud for being broken to pieces under the pressure of their misery; are like the noisy waves of the sea, breaking against the shore and shedding their tears in the form of the watery spray.
