The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

उत्पन्नश्च पलादूर्ध्वमुत्थितोऽस्मीति भावितः ।
सरश्मिरत्नजालस्तु शोभते दीप्तया श्रिया ॥ ३३ ॥

utpannaśca palādūrdhvamutthito'smīti bhāvitaḥ |
saraśmiratnajālastu śobhate dīptayā śriyā || 33 ||

But he who thinks himself to be born to greatness, and rises betimes by his energy; becomes as big as a hill, and shines with the lustre of rich gems growing upon it.
