The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ह्रस्वश्चैव परिभ्रष्टरूपोऽस्मीति तलातलम् ।
भावयन्भूतलं याति तादृग्भावनया स्वया ॥ ३२ ॥

hrasvaścaiva paribhraṣṭarūpo'smīti talātalam |
bhāvayanbhūtalaṃ yāti tādṛgbhāvanayā svayā || 32 ||

He who thinks himself as a little being, and fallen from above to suffer in the nether world; is born upon earth in the form he took for his pattern.
