The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इदं कार्यमिदं नेति यावत्कार्यं जगद्भ्रमः ।
तस्यैतत्संपरित्यागो हेय एव जगद्गुरो ॥ १५ ॥

idaṃ kāryamidaṃ neti yāvatkāryaṃ jagadbhramaḥ |
tasyaitatsaṃparityāgo heya eva jagadguro || 15 ||

So long do we labour under the sense of what is our duty, and what we must refrain from, as we are subject to the error of the reality of the world; but deliverance from this error, removes all such responsibilities from us.
