The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मत्पुत्रस्यास्य भगवन्मृत्युः किल न विद्यते ।
तेनेमं मृतमालोक्य जातः संभ्रमवानहम् ॥ ११ ॥

matputrasyāsya bhagavanmṛtyuḥ kila na vidyate |
tenemaṃ mṛtamālokya jātaḥ saṃbhramavānaham || 11 ||

I knew very well, that my son is not subject to death; and therefore I was struck with wonder, to behold him lying as a dead body.
