The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

जटावानक्षवलयी जितसर्वेन्द्रियभ्रमः ।
तत्र वर्षशतान्यष्टौ संस्थितस्तपसि स्थिरे ॥ २ ॥

jaṭāvānakṣavalayī jitasarvendriyabhramaḥ |
tatra varṣaśatānyaṣṭau saṃsthitastapasi sthire || 2 ||

He has been sitting still in his firm devotion, with matted braids of hair on his head; and beads of rudraksha seeds in his hand; and controlling the members of his body from their going astray.
