The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.10.68

जगन्निर्माणरहिते स्फारे नभसि सा ततः ।
वासना तस्य बभ्राम निर्नीडा विहगी यथा ॥ ६८ ॥

jagannirmāṇarahite sphāre nabhasi sā tataḥ |
vāsanā tasya babhrāma nirnīḍā vihagī yathā || 68 ||

Finding no other world nor body where he could enter (upon the extinction of the universe), his spirit roved about in the empty air, as a bird soars on high without its nest.
