The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अन्यास्वपि विचित्रासु वासनावशतः स्वयम् ।
विषमास्वेव पुत्रस्ते चचारान्तरयोनिषु ॥ ६१ ॥

anyāsvapi vicitrāsu vāsanāvaśataḥ svayam |
viṣamāsveva putraste cacārāntarayoniṣu || 61 ||

Your son has also passed many other births, which he was led to by his desire; and he had likewise to undergo some itara-janma heterogeneous births in lower animals.
