The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

प्रकृतव्यवहारेहानियतीर्निंयतेर्वशात् ।
प्राज्ञाः समभिवर्तन्ते नाभिमानमहातमः ॥ ३८ ॥

prakṛtavyavahārehāniyatīrniṃyatervaśāt |
prājñāḥ samabhivartante nābhimānamahātamaḥ || 38 ||

Knowing that the course of our conduct, is subject to the destiny appointed by the Divine will, the wise never allow themselves to be subjected under the darkness of pride or passion, at our doings.
