The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.9.6

मन्दराचलसानुस्था सा तनुस्तस्य धीमतः ।
तापप्रसरसंशुष्का चर्मशेषा बभूव ह ॥ ६ ॥

mandarācalasānusthā sā tanustasya dhīmataḥ |
tāpaprasarasaṃśuṣkā carmaśeṣā babhūva ha || 6 ||

It thought of its former body on the Mandara mountain, and how it was reduced to a skeleton of mere bones and skin by the heat of the sun and his austerities.
