The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.5.4

लवणस्य यथा राज्ञश्चेन्द्रजालाकुलाकृतेः ।
चण्डालत्वमनुप्राप्तं तथेदं मनसि स्थितम् ॥ ४ ॥

lavaṇasya yathā rājñaścendrajālākulākṛteḥ |
caṇḍālatvamanuprāptaṃ tathedaṃ manasi sthitam || 4 ||

It is situated in the same manner in the minds of men, as the thought of king Lavana's transformation of himself to a chandala, under the influence of sorcery.
