The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तस्मात्पदे जगच्छान्तमास्ते तत्सहकारिभिः ।
चित्तात्प्रसरतीत्युक्तिर्वालस्य न विपश्चितः ॥ ७ ॥

tasmātpade jagacchāntamāste tatsahakāribhiḥ |
cittātprasaratītyuktirvālasya na vipaścitaḥ || 7 ||

To say the world remained quiescent in its own nature, together with the accompanying causes, is the talk proceeding from the minds (mouths) of boys and not of the wise.
