The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.2.6

अथ पृथ्व्यादयोऽन्ये वा केचिदत्रोपकुर्वते ।
सहकारिकारणत्वं तत्पूर्वं चात्र दूषणम् ॥ ६ ॥

atha pṛthvyādayo'nye vā kecidatropakurvate |
sahakārikāraṇatvaṃ tatpūrvaṃ cātra dūṣaṇam || 6 ||

To say the earth and other elements, to be the accompanying causes of production, is also wrong; since it is impossible for these elements to exist prior to their creation.
