असच्चेदात्मतत्त्वं तदस्मिंस्ते देहपञ्जरे ।

asaccedātmatattvaṃ tadasmiṃste dehapañjare |
naṣṭe kiṃ nāma naṣṭaṃ syādrāma kenānuśocasi || 47 ||

If life is known to be frail, and the living state to be a transient scene, then say, O Rama! what it is that is lost by loss of this prison-house of the body, and what is it that you mourn for?
