The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.122.36

विषयेन्द्रियसंयोगे हर्षामर्षविवर्जिता ।
सैषा शुद्धानुभूतिर्हि सोऽयमात्मा चिदव्ययः ॥ ३६ ॥

viṣayendriyasaṃyoge harṣāmarṣavivarjitā |
saiṣā śuddhānubhūtirhi so'yamātmā cidavyayaḥ || 36 ||

The pure notion that we have of an everlasting Being, apart from all sensible ideas and impressions, is called the Intellect and soul.
