The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.122.32

रेखावृन्दं यथा पर्णे वीचिजालं यथा जले ।
कटकादि यथा हेम्नि तथोष्णादि यथाऽनले ॥ ३२ ॥

rekhāvṛndaṃ yathā parṇe vīcijālaṃ yathā jale |
kaṭakādi yathā hemni tathoṣṇādi yathā'nale || 32 ||

These are as lines on the leaves of trees, and as the curls and waves on the surface of waters. They are as ornaments made of that gold, and as the heat and cold of that fire and water.
