The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

संबन्धे दृश्यदृष्टीनां मध्ये द्रष्टुर्हि यद्वपुः ।
द्रष्टृदर्शनदृश्यादिवर्जितं तदिदं परम् ॥ ५३ ॥

saṃbandhe dṛśyadṛṣṭīnāṃ madhye draṣṭurhi yadvapuḥ |
draṣṭṛdarśanadṛśyādivarjitaṃ tadidaṃ param || 53 ||

Between the sight and its object, there lieth the eye of the beholder, which is beyond the sight of its viewer, and is neither the view nor the viewer.
