The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.119.25

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
परे शान्ते परं नाम स्थितमित्थमिदंतया ।
नेह सर्गो न सर्गाख्या काचिदस्ति कदाचन ॥ २५ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
pare śānte paraṃ nāma sthitamitthamidaṃtayā |
neha sargo na sargākhyā kācidasti kadācana || 25 ||

Vasishtha replied: The supreme spirit being perfectly tranquil, and all things being situated in Him, it is wrong to speak of this creation or that, when there is no such thing as a creation at any time.
