The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.118.2

वदन्ति बहुभेदेन वादिनो योगभूमिकाः ।
मम त्वभिमता नूनमिमा एव शुभप्रदाः ॥ २ ॥

vadanti bahubhedena vādino yogabhūmikāḥ |
mama tvabhimatā nūnamimā eva śubhapradāḥ || 2 ||

Disputants are apt to hold out many more stages of Yoga meditation;but in my opinion these (septuple stages) are sufficient for the attainment of the chief good on ultimate liberation. (The disputants are the Patanjala Yoga philosophers, who maintain various modes of discipline, for attaining to particular perfections of consummation—Siddhi; but the main object of this Sastra is the summum bonum.
