The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यज्जाग्रतो मनोराज्यं जाग्रत्स्वप्नः स उच्यते ।
द्विचन्द्रशुक्तिकारूप्यमृगतृष्णादिभेदतः ॥ १८ ॥

yajjāgrato manorājyaṃ jāgratsvapnaḥ sa ucyate |
dvicandraśuktikārūpyamṛgatṛṣṇādibhedataḥ || 18 ||

The cognition of the reality of any thing either by bias said:—rudhadhyasa or mistake—arudha, is called the waking dream; as the sight of two moons in the halo, of silver in shells, and water in the mirage; as also the imaginary castle building of day dreamers.
