The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.117.8

अर्थादर्थान्तरं चित्ते याति मध्ये हि या स्थितिः ।
निरस्तमनना यासौ स्वरूपस्थितिरुच्यते ॥ ८ ॥

arthādarthāntaraṃ citte yāti madhye hi yā sthitiḥ |
nirastamananā yāsau svarūpasthitirucyate || 8 ||

The truce that takes place in the mind, in the interim of a past and future thought of one object to another (arthadar thantara); know that respite of the mind in thinking, to be the resting of the soul, in the consciousness of its self-entity swarupa.
