The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अतश्चित्तं नरं विद्धि भोक्तारं सुखदुःखयोः ।
तन्मनः पावनोपाये सत्ये योजय राघव ॥ ३४ ॥
ataścittaṃ naraṃ viddhi bhoktāraṃ sukhaduḥkhayoḥ |
tanmanaḥ pāvanopāye satye yojaya rāghava || 34 ||
Hence learn to know the mind to be the recipient of pleasure and pain; therefore employ your attention, Rama! to the purification of your mind.
