The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.115.10

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
काष्ठकुड्योपमो देहो न किंचन इहानघ ।
स्वप्नालोक इवानेन चेतसा परिकल्प्यते ॥ १० ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
kāṣṭhakuḍyopamo deho na kiṃcana ihānagha |
svapnāloka ivānena cetasā parikalpyate || 10 ||

Vasishtha said:—The body is as a frame of woodwork, and contains nothing (spiritual) in it; it receives the reflection of an intelligence in it as in a dream, and this is called the mind.
