The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.114.68

चन्द्रबिम्बे सुधार्द्रेऽपि कृत्वा रौरवकल्पनम् ।
नारकं दाहसंशोषदुःखं समनुभूयते ॥ ६८ ॥

candrabimbe sudhārdre'pi kṛtvā rauravakalpanam |
nārakaṃ dāhasaṃśoṣaduḥkhaṃ samanubhūyate || 68 ||

It imagines hell fire, in the cooling beams of the watery orb of the moon; and conceives the torments of the infernal fires, proceeding from the refreshing beams of that celestial light.
