The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विकल्पजालिकेवेत्थमसत्येवापि सत्समा ।
मनःस्वार्थविलासार्थं यथा बालेन कल्प्यते ॥ २७ ॥

vikalpajālikevetthamasatyevāpi satsamā |
manaḥsvārthavilāsārthaṃ yathā bālena kalpyate || 27 ||

Such is the net of our wishes spread before us by our minds, which represent unrealities as real, and take a delight to dwell upon them, like children in their toys.
