The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.114.12

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
चेत्यानुपातरहितं सामान्येन च सर्वगम् ।
यच्चित्तत्त्वमनाख्येयं स आत्मा परमेश्वरः ॥ १२ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
cetyānupātarahitaṃ sāmānyena ca sarvagam |
yaccittattvamanākhyeyaṃ sa ātmā parameśvaraḥ || 12 ||

Vasishtha replied:—That which is not the subject of thought, which is all-pervasive, and the thought of which is beyond expression and comprehension is the universal spirit.
