The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अभावनं भावनायास्त्वेतावान्वासनाक्षयः ।
एष एव मनोनाशस्त्वविद्यानाश उच्यते ॥ २४ ॥

abhāvanaṃ bhāvanāyāstvetāvānvāsanākṣayaḥ |
eṣa eva manonāśastvavidyānāśa ucyate || 24 ||

The thought of the unknowable, will remove the thoughts of knowables; this is equivalent to the destruction of desires, of the mind and ignorance also.
