The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.110.36

इन्द्रियेण मनो देहि मनसेन्द्रियमुन्मनः ।
इन्द्रियाणि प्रसूतानि मनसो नेन्द्रियान्मनः ॥ ३६ ॥

indriyeṇa mano dehi manasendriyamunmanaḥ |
indriyāṇi prasūtāni manaso nendriyānmanaḥ || 36 ||

The mind is embodied in the organic body, accompanied by the sensible organs; but it is the mind that actuates the senses and receives the sensations; the senses are the products of the mind, but the mind is not a production of sensations.
