The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सदेव हि महादुःखमसत्तां नयति क्षणात् ।
निष्कलङ्का मनोवृत्तिरन्धकारमिवार्करुक् ॥ ४ ॥

sadeva hi mahāduḥkhamasattāṃ nayati kṣaṇāt |
niṣkalaṅkā manovṛttirandhakāramivārkaruk || 4 ||

But the reality soon disperses the troublesome unrealities, and the unsullied understanding drives off the errors of imagination, as the sun-shine dispels the darkness.
