The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पानीयशब्दमात्रैकश्रवणोत्कनरव्रजम् ।
आतपाततिसंशोषसीदत्सकलमानवम् ॥ १५ ॥

ātapātatisaṃśoṣasīdatsakalamānavam || 15 ||

The call and cry for water, came only to the ears of men; who were parching under the burning rays of the torrid sun.
