The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

वर्षासु मुक्ताकणवद्धृता वानलविन्दवः ।
अजाजीमूतखण्डार्थं क्षुत्क्षुण्णक्षीणकुक्षिणा ॥ २९ ॥

varṣāsu muktākaṇavaddhṛtā vānalavindavaḥ |
ajājīmūtakhaṇḍārthaṃ kṣutkṣuṇṇakṣīṇakukṣiṇā || 29 ||

The rain drops decorated our bodies with granules of vivid pearls, and our bellies were as lean and lank like an empty cloud through hunger and for want of food.
