The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ततस्तयौदनादर्धं मह्यमेकं समर्पितम् ।
माधव्येवामृतादर्धमिन्द्रायार्तिमहत्पुरा ॥ ५३ ॥

tatastayaudanādardhaṃ mahyamekaṃ samarpitam |
mādhavyevāmṛtādardhamindrāyārtimahatpurā || 53 ||

She then gave me half of the food she had with her, as Madhavi parted with half of her ambrosia to the hungry Indra of old.
