The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तस्येदमन्नं भवति भर्तृत्वे दीयते स्थिते ।
प्राणैरपि हि संपूज्या वल्लभाः पुरुषा यतः ॥ ५१ ॥

tasyedamannaṃ bhavati bhartṛtve dīyate sthite |
prāṇairapi hi saṃpūjyā vallabhāḥ puruṣā yataḥ || 51 ||

This food is for him, and may be given to you, if you will agree to espouse me; because the husband deserves to be served even at the peril of one's life.
