The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मह्यमोदनमाश्वेतद्बाले बलवदापदि ।
देहिदीनार्तिहरणात्स्फारतां यान्ति संपदः ॥ ४२ ॥

mahyamodanamāśvetadbāle balavadāpadi |
dehidīnārtiharaṇātsphāratāṃ yānti saṃpadaḥ || 42 ||

I asked her to give me some of her food in my great distress, because, I told her, one is enriched by relieving the distress of the needy.
