The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.106.34

क्षणादज्ञ इव ज्ञानं दरिद्र इव काञ्चनम् ।
दृष्टवानहमर्कं खे वारणारोहणोन्मुखम् ॥ ३४ ॥

kṣaṇādajña iva jñānaṃ daridra iva kāñcanam |
dṛṣṭavānahamarkaṃ khe vāraṇārohaṇonmukham || 34 ||

I saw the sun advancing afterwards towards the earth, and to mount on his Airavata the regent elephant of that quarter. He seemed to be so full of glee, as the ignorant man has in his folly, and the poor man in obtaining a treasure.
