पूर्वादरण्यादरसात्तद्धि किंचित्सुखावहम् ।
अत्यन्तदुःखान्मरणाद्वरं व्याधिर्हि जन्तुषु ॥ १९ ॥

pūrvādaraṇyādarasāttaddhi kiṃcitsukhāvaham |
atyantaduḥkhānmaraṇādvaraṃ vyādhirhi jantuṣu || 19 ||

This shady forest afforded me a little joy, after my pains in the dry and dreary desert; as a lingering disease seems more desirable to men, than the pains attending on death.
