The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इत्युक्तवति तस्मिंस्तु प्रत्युवाचैन्द्रजालिकः ।
जलदस्तनिते शान्ते चातकोऽम्बुधरं यथा ॥ ३८ ॥

ityuktavati tasmiṃstu pratyuvācaindrajālikaḥ |
jaladastanite śānte cātako'mbudharaṃ yathā || 38 ||

After he had ended his speech the magician spoke in a voice, as sweet as that of the swallow, after the roaring of the cloud is hushed to silence.
