The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

स ननाम महीपालं शिखरोदारकन्धरम् ।
पादोपान्तगतः कान्तं शैलं फलतरुर्यथा ॥ २७ ॥

sa nanāma mahīpālaṃ śikharodārakandharam |
pādopāntagataḥ kāntaṃ śailaṃ phalataruryathā || 27 ||

He bowed down to the ruler of the earth, and lowly bent his capped head and neck before the court; as a tree hangs down its loads of fruits, at the foot of a mountain.
