The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इतिह्यसमये पुण्ये वाच्यमाने च पुस्तके ।
पठत्सु च स्तुतीः पुण्याः पुरः प्रह्वेषु वन्दिषु ॥ २५ ॥

itihyasamaye puṇye vācyamāne ca pustake |
paṭhatsu ca stutīḥ puṇyāḥ puraḥ prahveṣu vandiṣu || 25 ||

There were the learned pandits reciting the holy legends from their books, and the courteous panegyrists chaunting their sacred eulogies on one side.
