The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मनोदेहो हि जन्तूनां देशकालतिरोहितः ।
मुहुर्मृतिपटाच्छन्नः शठे किं परिदेवना ॥ २४ ॥

manodeho hi jantūnāṃ deśakālatirohitaḥ |
muhurmṛtipaṭācchannaḥ śaṭhe kiṃ paridevanā || 24 ||

The mind and body of living beings, are apt to disappear at times from their habitations, and hide themselves under the shroud of death;why then should we sorrow for such renegades?
