The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अनार्तोऽप्यार्तिमान्भाति च्छिन्नेऽङ्गे किंच ताम्यति ।
भेदाभेदविकारार्तिः काचिन्नात्मनि विद्यते ॥ ११ ॥

anārto'pyārtimānbhāti cchinne'ṅge kiṃca tāmyati |
bhedābhedavikārārtiḥ kācinnātmani vidyate || 11 ||

The body being hurt, the soul is supposed to be hurt likewise; but no pain or hurt or sickness of any kind, can appertain to the unchanging soul.
