The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

देशकालादिवैचित्र्यात्क्ष्मातलादिव शालयः ।
न जातं प्रतिभासेन तेनैवान्येन पश्यति ॥ २२ ॥

deśakālādivaicitryātkṣmātalādiva śālayaḥ |
na jātaṃ pratibhāsena tenaivānyena paśyati || 22 ||

And as the earth produces its harvests, according to their particular soil and season; so the heart and mind exhibit their thoughts and feelings of their own accord, and not caused by another.
