The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यदसौ समवष्टभ्य मया पृष्टः प्रयत्नतः ।
तद्विवेको बलाच्चित्तमादत्त इति दर्शितम् ॥ ३१ ॥

yadasau samavaṣṭabhya mayā pṛṣṭaḥ prayatnataḥ |
tadviveko balāccittamādatta iti darśitam || 31 ||

The man who was stopped by me on his way and asked with concern (about what he was going to do); was made to understand how the power of wisdom could outbrave the desperate.
