The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.98.12

पुनर्दूरतरं गत्वा करञ्जवनगुल्मकम् ।
प्रविष्टः कण्टकव्याप्तं शलभः पावकं यथा ॥ १२ ॥

punardūrataraṃ gatvā karañjavanagulmakam |
praviṣṭaḥ kaṇṭakavyāptaṃ śalabhaḥ pāvakaṃ yathā || 12 ||

He ran again a great way, till at last he fell upon a thorny thicket of Karanja plants, which caught him as fast in its brambles, as a moth or grasshopper is caught in a flame.
